Biography
James was born in 1919. His parents were Tobias and Grace B (Nickerson) Mcininch. His seven siblings in the 1930 census were Irene 21, Everett 20, Lucretia 18, Leroy 17, Annie 15, Charles 12, and Tressa 8. James worked at doing odd jobs when he was twenty and married Dorothy (Karmenzind) McIninch on 18 Jun 1949. He enlisted in the US Army on 29 Dec 1945 in the Coast Artillery Corps and served in the regular Army from 3 Sep 1955 and was released on 30 Sep 1963. He died in 1984, fifteen years before his wife, and is buried at Parkview Cemetery, Peoria, Illinois.
