Most sources show Caradog ap Richard^[3] ap Einion ap Gollwyn.^[1][4][5]

Einion ap Gollwyn is said to have "fl. 1093".^[6]

Caradog is said to have been living 1250-1270.^[1]

A single generation between a man living 1250-1270 and one who flourished in 1093 is not feasible, so the profile for Richard (born c1175) was detached as son of Einion ap Gollwyn and his wife, Nest ferch Iestyn, and additional profiles were created to fill the gap:
