Biography

Tomasita Gutierrez was born on December 22nd, 1914 in the city of Laredo in Texas to Rufino Gutierrez and Paula del Bosque. She married Eugenio Guzman at the age of 16 ^[1] and lived on her father-in-law's ranch for many years ^[2] until their family moved to Beeville around 1947. She remained there for many years ^[3] with her husband until she passed away on October 5th, 1978 in the hospital in Victoria ^{[4] [5]} due to problems stemming from Atrial Fibrillation and was buried in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 in Beeville ^[6].
