Herbert (Monte) Alderman was born in 1938 [1] He was named after his father who was born in California, whereas his mother, Carma Ali was born in Russia[2]
Herbert Alderman, who went by Monte, spent the last decades of his life in Paradise at his home on Deanna Way. When the Camp Fire overtook his home, Alderman was 79. He was a mechanic in his younger days, recalled his neighbor, Ron Evans. Alderman lived alone and kept mostly to himself, but he would sometimes join his neighbors for family functions. [4]
