Biography
When Russell Spencer was born on June 25, 1794, in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, his father, Peter, was 30 and his mother, Jerusha, was 27. He married Luey Wheeler on September 8, 1816, in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania. They had at least four children during their marriage.
Russell was a blacksmith. He died on December 13, 1864, in Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
