Biography
Katherine Yale was the daughter of Elihu Yale of Plas Grono, near Wrexham, in Denbighshire. [1] She was born about 1685 at Fort St George, Madras, where her father was a high official of the East India Company. [2]
In 1706/7 and with £20,000, Katherine was bride of Dudley North, son of Dudley North and his wife, Ann Cann. [3] [1] They was parents of 2 sons and 3 daughters, a girl and a boy dying before their father. [1]
She passed away in 1715. [1]
