findagrave has Samuel Gilson Davis' dob of 1808; the profiler has listed the marriage date to Charlotte as 1817, so we can be sure 1808 is NOT the correct dob.

IF he was cited in the 1790 Census it was as a male child age "0" to something like age 10 I think

IF he married in 1817 and was born in 1790, then he was about age 27 when he married.

There's no evidence presented as to his date and place of birth, nor his marriage record and the findagrave memorial is unreliable information
