Baptism record not found in 1894 or 1895 in Schillelen, Russian Empire (now Šilalė, Lithuania).

Re: Death
The Sep 1959 USA obituary of Adele's brother Louis Waschkat said he was preceded in death by parents, brother Ludwig, and a grandchild; survived by brother [Ed] in Iowa and three sisters in "East Germany, Russian Zone." The sisters were Adele, Olga, and unknown.

Relatives in Iowa were often uninformed about the deaths of family members in Eastern Europe during and after World War II. Apparently, they did not know of Adele's death before 1940 in Lithuania and Olga's death in 1953 in Brandenberg, Germany. The name of the third sister is unknown.
