Seymour Edward Egerton was born on August 1, 1896, son of Arthur George Edward Egerton (1863–1915) and Mariota Thellusson (1873–1924).
Seymour married Brenda Peterson on August 31, 1917. Their children were:
- Alexandra Mariota Flora Egerton (1919– )
- Seymour William Arthur John Egerton (1921–1999)
Seymour died on October 12, 1927, aged 31.
