Biography
Henry was born in 1822. He is the son of Theodore Titus. [1] [2] [3] [4]
He was raised in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and served as Postmaster in Philadephia. [5]
On 2 Mar 1852, Henry married Mary Evelina Hopkins, daughter of Gen. Edward Hopkins. (b. 23 Dec 1832, St. Marys, Georgia) at Darien, Georgia. [2]
Henry took part in the Narciso Lopez "filibustering" expeditions to Cuba and served as an assistant Quartermaster in the Florida Militia during the U.S. Civil War. [2][1][5]
Henry was the founder of Titusville, Florida and its historical Indian River Hotel. [6]
He passed away in 1881. [7] [5]
