Biography
Henrietta Vanderheide was born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 23, 1930
She Married David Benbow in Edmonton on June 14, 1952. They moved to Hinton in 1956 where husband Dave was an accountant for North Western Pulp & Power.
Reta was a partner in all aspects of husband's Dave's life....... From business ventures to politics to community service and local history.
Reta and Dave loved skiing and camping with family and friends were part of their lives but they enjoyed going to Hawaii together most of all until Dave's tragic passing on November 22, 1985.
Reta was a strong, vibrant, classy lady and was known for her great smile and caring ways.
She volunteered for many community organizations for many years. Especially close to her heart, the Good Companions Hall and being a faithful member of the United Church.
She lived her life with grace and dignity and loved her friends and family.
Sadly, Reta Passed Away on September 1, 2022 in Hinton, Alberta.
