The extreme heat is exerting a most prejudicial effect upon the weak and sickly. We (Creswick Advertiser) regret to notice that Mrs Treloar, ailing and weakly, succumbed to the weather on Thursday, whilst Mr Treloar and the junior members of the family were at the picnic at Geelong. Mr Treloar only learned the sad news when he arrived on the platform on Thursday evening.
She was buried in Creswick Cemetery. [6] John died in November 1876.
