Biography

George Joseph Fortin Jr was born on 19 Feb 1929 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. He was the son of George Fortin and Honoria Murphy. George graduated from the former Springfield Trade School; he was a Navy veteran of World War II. George was a city firefighter for 27 years and served as an inspector at Springfield's fire headquarters.

George died at age 72 on 17 Jun 2001 in Springfield.
