Biography
Hanora Magane was born 09 Aug 1884, and baptized 10 Aug 1884 in Caherciveen, child of Daniel [Magane] and Hanora Keating of Bahoss. Sponsored by: Timothy Sullivan, Catherine Sullivan.[1]
Norah Mangan appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 4 in Coars, Bahaghs, Kerry, age 15, born Co Kerry, occupation farmer's daughter, as daughter to the unnamed head of household.[2]
The death of Nora Mangan was anounced in the Springfield Union of 31 Jan 1960: "Miss Nora Mangan. Northampton - Miss Nora Mangan, a former local resident, died in a nursing home Saturday after a long illness. Born in Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nora (Keating) Mangan and had been a resident of this city of 40 years. She leaves a sister, Mrs Mary Kelly, of Chicago, a brother Joseph Mangan of Chicago and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at Ahearn Northampton funeral home Monday at 8.15 with a high mass of requiem in St Mary's Church at 9. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 7 to 10."[3]
Nora Mangan died in 1960 and is commemorated in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts.[4]
