Commodore Perry Young was born about 1816 in Tennessee. He died in 1894 and is buried in Sutter's Mill Pioneer Cemetery in Coloma, California. [1][2]
A Commodore Perry Young bought 44.7 acres of land in Pettis, Missouri in Nov. 1837.[3]
There is a marriage in Iowa also, but need more data to verify this is the same person. Married to Mary Elizabeth Cottroff. 1868.[4][5] But he is listed as being in California by 1866. And no wife listed in 1870 census.
1866 voter registration roles state he is in Coloma, California. [6]
1882 voter registration roles state he is in El Dorado County, California. [7]
