Biography

Birth

Nothing is known of the ancestry of Patience Robinson. The 1850 Census shows her as 57 years old, born in Maine.^[1] Based on her age at her death from her gravestone, she was born in March or April 1793; her FindAGrave memorial says she was born at Bath, Maine, on 18 Apr 1793, but it cites no evidence.^[2]

Marriage

On 10 Oct 1815, Patience Robinson of Bath, Maine, and William Abbott of Livermore, Maine, (both towns were then in Massachusetts) published at Livermore their intention to marry.^[3] They married at Bath on 30 Nov 1815.^[4]

Death

A gravestone at the East New Portland Cemetery in New Portland, Maine, says that Patience Abbott died on 24 Nov 1868 at the age of 75 years, 7 months.^[2]
