Biography

Myra (or Mira) Tuttle was born in Cheshire, New Haven County, Connecticut on 5 Nov 1790. She was the daughter of Edmund Tuttle, Sr. and Sarah Loly Roys.[1][2]

Myra married Jesse Brooks in Cheshire on 18 Jul 1816.[3][4]

Their children:

  1. Edmund Tuttle Brooks (b. 12 Jan 1817, Cheshire)[5]
  2. Jesse Royce Brooks (b. 1 Oct 1820, Cheshire)[6]
  3. Caroline Nancy Brooks (b. 13 Oct 1824, Cheshire)

Jesse Brooks died in Cheshire at the age of 35 (in hia 36th year), on 5 Jun 1826, according to his gravestone in Cheshire Cemetery. He was killed while helping with the construction of Cheshire's new Congregational church.[7]
