Biography
daughter of George Thomas Race & Anna Laura McNaughton
Kay was born May 5, 1926 in Edmonton. She grew up in Edmonton and Ardrossan with her siblings, Laura, Donald, Alban and Georgena. She married Charles Creighton in 1950. They had 4 children, Darcy, Leslie, Ellen Lea and Charlene. They moved to various places with Charlie's career in the Oilpatch. They made many friendships through work and other activities. Kay eventually moved to BC and married Don Currence. In recent years she lived in the Pioneer Lodge in Lamont She passed away December 26, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral home in Edmonton 10530 - 116 St. All are welcome. Published in The Edmonton Journal on Jan. 12, 2017
