Louisa was the daughter of Christopher Godby, a General in the British Army, and Frances van Renen, who was born in the East Indies about 1821.[1] Her birth was probably registered in India.
Marriage and Children
On 11th September 1838 Louisa married Hamilton Fergusson in Bengal, India.[2] They had three sons:

Robert George Fergusson (1840) Born in Bengal, India
Louisa died on 10th May 1904, aged 83 years, in Englefield Green, Surrey, England.[5] She was buried on 14 May 1904 in Christ Church Churchyard, Virginia Water, Surrey, England .[6]
