Reginald was born in 1887. ^[1] He was the son of George Tanswell and Georgina Lewis.

TANSWELL— On the 12th February, at Stead-street, Albert Park, the wife of Geo. Tanswell of a son.^[2]

He married Mary Watson in 1921. ^[3]

TANSWELL—WATSON.—On the 11th April, at Christ Church, South Yarra, by the Rev. R. E. Sutton, Reginald G. (late A.I.F.), only son of Mrs. G. Tanswell, Albert Park, and the late George Tanswell, Beechworth, to Yarrie, youngest daughter of Mrs. Rankin, Albert Park, and the late Wm. Watson, Wycheproof.^[4]
