Biography

Evelyn was born July 14, 1927^[1] in North Carolina, United States. Her parents were Theodore Edward Taylor and Minnie Pearl (Redmond) Taylor.^[2]

In 1930, three year old Evelyn (shown as Evaline P) lived with her father Theodore (age 25), mother Minnie (shown as Minie P, age 23), and brother Edward (age 5) on Fair North(?) Road in Broad River, Buncombe, North Carolina, United States, on her paternal grandfather's farm land. Her father was a farm laborer.^[2]

In 1940, twelve year old Evelyn lived on Rural Route 44 in Asheville Township, Buncombe, North Carolina, United States with her father Theodore (age 35), mother Minnie (shown as Pearl, age 33), and siblings Edward (shown as TE, age 14), Margaret (age 9), and Betty Lou (age 4). Her father worked on blanket nappes at a blanket mill.^[3]

Evelyn married Silas AD McDuffie March 31, 1945 in Florida, United States^[4] and they had at least one child (see Notes).

Evelyn was living in Pisgah Forest, Transylvania, North Carolina, United States when she died June 2, 2007.^[1] She was buried in the Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Pisgah Forest, Transylvania, North Carolina, United States.^[5]
