I added this profile because Mary (Mitchell) Kelley - who lived in Lancaster, Massachusetts during the same time period as Mary (Mitchell) Guilfoil - was my 3rd Great Grandmother. Mary (Mitchell) Kelley born in Ireland in about 1812 was likely a first cousin of Mary (Mitchell) Guilfoil born in Ireland in about 1816. This would mean they share a Mitchell grandparent. Given their same first name it is unlikely they are sisters. Although there is some ambiguity because both show a parent of William Mitchell in their death information. (Possible error by one of the informants?). And both show a "Fox" as mother. Mary (Mitchell) Kelley shows a Margaret Fox and Mary (Mitchell) Guilfoil shows an Ellen Fox (Are the two Mary's 2nd cousins?, half sisters?). More evidence that they are likely related is that they lived next to each other in Lancaster, Massachusetts during the1855 Massachusetts State Census. Mary (Mitchell) Kelley lived in Dwelling 233/Family 245. Mary (Mitchell) Guilfoil lived in Dwelling 235/Family 247.
