Biography

Alice Ulsh was born in October 1874, a daughter of Joseph Ulsh (1835-1911) and Angeline Grubb (1846–1909).^[1]

She married Isaac Mangle (1870-1950) on 22 June 1893 in Liverpool, Perry County.^[2] Four months later, she gave birth to their first child, Herman. Their children included:

1. Herman Mangle (1893-1963)
2. Nora May Mangle (1895-1989)
3. Helen A. Mangle (1899-1964)
4. Cora A. Mangle (1906-1996)

In May 1934, Alice's clothing caught on fire, and she suffered 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 3/4 of her body. Less than a day later she passed away at age 59.^[3],^[4] She was buried in Aline Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.^[5]
