Lois was born about 1765.

It is claimed at findagrave (without source) that Lois has the birth surname Pond. ^[1] It is probably correct, in which case, she is probably the Lois Pond born in Wrentham, Massachusetts on 23 July 1771 to Benjamin and Lois Pond. It is alleged on an unsourced family tree at familysearch.com that David and Lois were married in Franklin, MA on 24 March 1791. The birth of Lois’ daughter, Julia, was reported in the Franklin, Massachusetts Vital Records with Lois identified as Lois, jr.
