Biography
Elizabeth was born about 1633. She is the daughter of Thomas Scot and Alice Allinson.
She married Richard Sykes of Leeds and Ledston, date unknown at present..[1]They had four daughters:
- Elizabeth (Sikes) Wilson - Leeds 1663
- Mary (Sykes) Rayner
- Anna (Sykes) Thoresby - Leeds 1664
- Deborah (Sykes) Hough
Elizabeth was mentioned in her husband's will dated 8 November 1693: Bequests to daughters Elizabeth wife of Thomas Wilson, Anna wife of Ralph Thoresby, Mary wife of Thomas Rayner and Deborah Sykes; wife Elizabeth; brother Daniel and his sons Joseph and Richard; Samuel and William Sykes son of dec'd. brother William; etc.: Leeds, Ferrybridge, Wexford, Rothwell: Died 24 [March], Buried 26 March 1694.[2]
Mrs. Elizabeth Sykes of Lydgate, Leeds was buried there on 28 September 1714.[3]
