Mette Christine (29 Aug 1813[8] - 30 Mar 1821[9]),
Carl Christian (5 Apr 1815[10] - 18 Apr 1892), his son Christian Emil Olsen (2 Jul 1847 - 30 Dec 1933) wrote Slegtshistoriske meddelser, Oslo, June 1927,
Margrethe Marie (16 Sep 1819[11] - 21 Dec 1891[12]), married Svend Olaus Stray (1809 - 1869),[13]
Marcus Olsen died at sea in 1825. The estate was bankrupt.[15] Rendel Marie was left with 4 minor children, who were unprovided for. The merchant Edvard Dahl helped her out financially so that she could keep the house. She rented out rooms on the top floor of the house. And she earned money by baking and as a small merchant.
RENNILD Marie Davidsen died on 27 Mar 1844 and was buried on 3 Apr 1844.[16]

"Note that very few women took their husband's last name, and they never took their husband's patronym as their last name. "
In 1781 hardly any woman would be called -sen (SON of her father), so her LNAB should be corrected to Davidsdatter
(I have ONE single case where the father was officer and had taken his patronym as family name for his children)
It was only because she had become city dweller that she at burial in 1844 is called Davidsen (CLN). Normally she would still be called Davidsdatter.
She would NOT have been called Olsen (son of her father-in-law!)
You may be right that she was only called Davidsen by the time of her death (when her family had adopted Davidsen as a frozen patronymic surname) and not yet at the time of her birth. However, her patronym would be Wilhelmsdatter, not Davidsdatter. In the papers I have about her, she is only referred to as "Rendel Marie Davidsen". Her patronym Wilhelmsdatter is not used there. Would you still change the LNAB to Wilhelmsdatter?
