Francesco was born around 1795 [1] to Vito Maggio and Francesca Bilello [2]. He married the widow Calogera Gammina in 1822 [3] and they had several children. He was widowed, date unknown, and in 1850 at age 55, he married the 50-year-old widow Anna Randazzo [4].
