George Wilson Wald was the second child and second son of David Wald and Elizabeth Wilson. He was born at Yankalilla[1] on 17 July 1856 and died of consumption at Semaphore[2] on 29 March 1877, at the age of 20. He was buried in the Cheltenham Cemetery on 1 April 1877.
THE Friends of Mr. D. WALD are respectfully informed that the Remains of his late SON, GEORGE WILSON, will be removed from his Residence, Semaphore, Lefevre's Peninsula, To-morrow (Sunday), April 1, at 3 o'clock, for interment in the Port Adelaide Suburban Cemetery, Cheltenham, J. C. & G. E. HADDY.
