Biography

Charles Bacon, Esq. of Styford, Northumberland (d. 18 Sep 1830),^[1] was the son of:

• John William Bacon-Forster, Esq. (d. 1767)
• and Sarah Turnour, dau. of Joseph Tourner (nee Garth) & sis. of Edward, 1st Earl of Winterton.^[2]

He's sometimes referred to as Charles Forster Bacon.

On 19 April 1790 Charles married Dorothy Grey, sis. of Marmaduke Grey, Esq. of Kyloe, Northumberland,^[3][4] at Embleton, Northumberland. According to Foster (1891), Dorothy's father was Bryan Grey of Kyloe.^[5]
