Biography

John Ernest Acock (1909-1993) was born in Redbourn Street, Anfield on the 22nd April 1909 ^[1] and christened on the 16th June 1909 at Holy Trinity, Walton Breck, Liverpool. He was the son of James Acock and Ellen Edwards. ^[2]

They lived in Redbourn Street until after 1911 ^[3] when they moved to Rockhouse Street, Anfield about 1920 and once he was of age, John was included in the electoral register there. ^[4]

He was in the merchant marine service for a while including the period of WW2 ^{[5] [6]}

He married Fanny Davis in 1948 at Holy Trinity, Walton Breck, Liverpool ^{[7] [8]} and they lived in Esmond Street, Anfield from at least 1950 ^[9] until his death in 1993. ^[10] He was cremated and his remains interred at Anfield Cemetery, Liverpool on the 21st December 1993. ^[11]
