Birth

According to his death record, Lewis A. Cobb was born at Sumner, Maine, on 15 Oct 1833, the son of Stephen Cobb and Olive (Hersey) Cobb.^[1]

Marriage

Lewis A. Cobb married Hannah Celestia Fuller of Livermore, Maine.^[2]

In 1860, Lewis A. Cobb, 26, and Hannah C. Cobb, 21, were living in Lewis' parents household at Sumner, Maine, with Fredric A. Cobb, age 2 months.^[3] In 1870, they were living at Auburn, Maine, with Celestia Cobb, 12, and Frederick Cobb, 10.^[4] It is likely that Celestia was their daughter and was living with them in 1860. The 1860 Census page breaks after Hannah, and Frederic is on the next page, and it is likely that Celestia was missed when the page was copied. A first child who was 2 in 1860 places their marriage about 1857.

Death

Lewis A. Cobb died from chronic interstital nephritis at Auburn, Maine, on 6 Mar 1918, with his age at his death recorded as 84 years, 4 months, 21 days.^[5] He was buried two days later in Lot 263B of the the Oak Hills Cemetery in Auburn.^[6]
