Biography

Isabella Campbell was born 20 March 1892 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland to parents Robert Campbell and Marion Beaton^[1].

Isabella's mother Marion Campbell nee Beaton died in 1899 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland^[2].

It is believed Isabella's father, Robert Campbell, also died when Isabella was young as the 1901 Scottish Census shows Isabella Campbell, aged 8 and born Renfrew, living with adopted parents William and Janet Leslie at Burnside Cottage, Kilsyth Road, Campsie, Stirlingshire^[3].

Isabella Campbell immigrated to Queensland, Australia, arriving on 24 April 1910 onboard the Rippingham Grange^[4].

On 13 September 1911 John Swanson married Isabella Campbell at Toowoomba, Queensland.^[5]

John and Isabella had two children, George born 1912^[6], and Isabella born 1914^[7].

Isabella's husband John passed away on 15 July 1951.^[8]

Isabella Kaufline died at Kingaroy, Queensland, Australia on 16 May 1988^[9]. Isabella is buried at the Taabinga Cemetery^[10].
