Birth

Martha Ellen "Nellie" Gibbs was born in 1854, the daughter of Phineas Stearns Gibbs and Mary (Meserve) Gibbs of Livermore, Maine,^[1] with whom she was living at Livermore in 1870 at the age of 15^[2] and in 1880 at the age of 25.^[3]

Marriages

1. Nellie M. Gibbs and William A. Hyde, both of Livermore, Maine, were married on 16 Aug 1893, probably at Livermore.^[4] In 1900, they were living at Livermore with two of William's children from his first marriage.
2. The widow Martha E. (Gibbs) Hyde, 58, of Livermore, Maine, married the widower Stephen F. Morrill, 78, of the village of Livermore Falls in East Livermore, Maine, at Livermore on 1 Mar 1913.^[5] In 1920, they were living in Saint Cloud, Florida.^[6]

Martha Ellen (Gibbs) (Hyde) Morrill had no known children by either of her marriages.

Death

No record has been found of the death of Martha Ellen (Gibbs) (Hyde) Morrill. She was living when her second husband died at Saint Cloud, Florida, on 8 Jul 1923.^[7] The 1928 history of Livermore, Maine, says, "Her nephew, Herbert Gibbs, succeeded to her property,"^[1] so she may have been dead by then.
