John was born 13 March 1746 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He is the son of Nathaniel Benton and Dorothy Cook. ^[1]

John Benton and Mary Blinn were married in Wethersfield, Connecticut May 3, 1764. ^[2]

Differentiation

I believe this is a DIFFERENT John Benton than the one who died Dec 13, 1814 in Cornwall, Vermont ^[3] Also Find A Grave has mixed up John Benton with Felix Benton who married Tamer Leicester. Different birth date and different wife. See the Find A Grave Find A Grave: Memorial #68282035
