Louisa Barns was born in about 1805 in Massachusetts. ^[1] The death record of her daughter Henrietta says Louisa was born in Dummerston, Vermont. ^[2]

Rufus Day and Louisa Barns were married on 28 Nov 1826 in Keene, New Hampshire. ^[3]

In 1850 they lived in Nelson, New Hampshire. ^[1]

She died Dec 2, 1883 ^{[citation needed]} and is buried in Nelson, New Hampshire at Nelson Cemetery. ^[4]
