Biography
Julia was born in 1847. She was the daughter of James Scripps and Julia Osborn.
Annie never married nor had any children. "For 25 years disabled by rheumatism, she yet possessed a clear mind and considerable literary ability."[1]
She passed away in 1898. [2]
Her Sufferings Ended[3]
Julia Ann Scripps, aged 51 years, a sister of E. W. and F. T. Scripps of MIramar, a native of Rushville, Ill., died yesterday at her home in La Jolla. Deceased came here a year ago from Alameda, Cal., and had been an invalid for years. The funeral took place from the residence at La Jolla this afternoon, with interment at Mt. Hope.
