• Gertrude was born on the 8th of August 1853.^[1] She was born to the parents of the Hon. Frances Caroline Hood and Sir John Walrond Walrond, 1st Bt.^[1]

• Gertrude was married on the 1st of November 1879 at All Saints' Chapel, Bradfield, Uffculme, Devon, England, to Sir Charles Thomas Dyke Acland, 8th/12th Bt., son of Mary Mordaunt and Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, 7th/11th Bt.^[1][2][3]
