Elizabeth was born to Alfred Glanville Greysmith (1846-1893 to Elizabeth Smyth (1845-1901). She immigrated to Canada, arriving 22 May 1890 in Quebec, Canada when she was 18 years old having departed from Glasgow, Scotland. She was married 27 Mar 1899 in Middlesex, Ontario,Canada to William Clough. She died 22 Mar 1942 leaving 2 children, William Lewis and Wilbur Alexander
