William was born about 1884 at or about Greymouth, West Coast in New Zealand. He was the son of Patrick Quealy and Mary Heffernan.[1] He passed away in 1925 aged 41, last residence, Perth. Western Australia.
Service number 2886, Private William Vincent Quealy served with the 39th Infantry Battalion in WW1. This unit embarked on HMAT PERSIC on 29 Dec 1916 from Fremantle Western Australia. He would later go on to serve was a Staff Sergeant with the Dental Corps and returned to Australia on the 4th of July 1919.Billion Graves App Shows headstone at Karrakatta Cemetery, Perth Western Australia for William died February 1925, however transcription mentions death date 7 Mar 1925, (he preceded his Mother who died July 1939).
