Biography
Born the son of John and Abigail (Taylor) in 1806, William was raised in Connecticut where he would meet and marry Lucretia Scribner, the daughter of Harvey and Lydia (Jelliff) Scribner. The ceremony took place in 1834 in Saugatuck, Connecticut. Together, William and Lucretia would have the following children:
Rachel M. (Scribner) Ryan (1830–1848)
Martha Scribner (1838– )
William Harvey Scribner (1840– )
George Henry Scribner (1842– )
Wilbur Fisk Scribner (1844-after 1884)
At some point William and Lucretia left Connecticut and settled in Ohio. This is where William passed away in 1846 at just 39-40 years of age. Lucretia would marry a man named Johnson and live on until 1863. William and Lucretia's bodies are buried together in the Homer Cemetery in Homer, Licking County, Ohio.
