Biography
Olive was born in 1788.[1] She passed away in 1870.
OLIVE WOODMAN, b. 31 Dec 1788 daughter of Jeremiah and Nancy (Watson) Woodman; d. at Buxton, 10 Feb 1870; m. 1st at Hollis, 1 Aug 1807, JACOB HEIRLE, b. about 1780; Jacob d. 4 May 1813 while serving in the War of 1812. Olive m. 2nd at Hollis, 27 Jul 1817,[2] JOSEPH APPLETON, b. at Buxton 23 Aug 1787 son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Adams) Appleton; Joseph d. at Hollis, Dec 1817. Olive m. 3rd at Buxton, 31 Oct 1821,[3] her second cousin, ISAAC WOODMAN (widower of Mehitable Lane), b. at Buxton, 23 Nov 1788 son of James and Mary (Hancock) Woodman; Isaac d. at Buxton, 2 Nov 1847. Jacob Heirle served as private in the company of Capt. R. White of U. S. Volunteers and died in service. Beginning in 1853, Olive Woodman formerly widow of Jacob Heirle received a pension related to Jacob’s service.[4]
Jacob Heirle and Olive Woodman had two children: Jacob and Miranda.
