Mrs. Sarah Wakefield Dies at Titusville: Mother of Mrs. Lester Green, Succumbs to Pneumonia after Few Hours' Illness - Well Known Here Mr. and Mrs. Lester Green and the latter's son Lynn Clark of Cornen street, left yesterday morning for Titusville, Pa, where they were summoned by the death of Mrs. Green's mother, Mrs. Sarah Jane Wakefield. Mrs. Wakefield often visited in Bradford and was well known to a wide circle of friends here. Yesterday's Titusville Herald contained the following account of her death:

Mrs. Sarah Jane Wakefield, aged 80 yeas, died at five minutes after 1 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert A. Kerr, East Walnut street, following an illness of only a few hours. Although Mrs. Wakefield had not been in robust health for some time, she had been around the house as usual and ate supper with the family last evening. During the afternoon she had complained of being hoarse, but when retired at about 9 o'clock, told her daughter that she was feeling as well as usual.

The diseased [sic] was born August 3, 1842 on the farm now occupied by N.W. Reynolds near Gresham, being one of five children born to Mr. and Mrs. John McLaughlin, and was the last of her family. She was united in marriage with Smith Wakefield in February, 1870. To them were born four daughters, Mrs. W.B. Dillinger of Mansfield, O., Mrs. N.W. Reynolds, deceased, Mrs. Robert A. Kerr of this city, and Mrs. Lester Green of Bradford. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a lifelong member of the Kerr Hill Presbyterian church at Gresham and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. She had made her home for the past 15 years with her children, most of the time with the daughter, Mrs. Kerr, at whose home she passed away.
