Biography

Sarah was born 6 February 1841, in Petersham, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Stephen Harris (abt.1809-abt.1897) and Arathusa (Sears) Harris (abt.1816-abt.1894).^[1]

In 1850, the family is living in Petersham, Massachusetts.^[2]

In 1860, the family is also in Petersham, Massachusetts.^[3]

On 3 November 1860, Sarah married David D. Gay in Petersham, Massachusetts.^[4]

In 1870, the family is living in Athol, Massachusetts. David is a boot bottomer.^[5]

In 1880, the family has relocated to Harrisville, New Hampshire. David now woks in a saw mill. ^[6]

Sarah died at age 41 on 24 February 1882, in Harrisville, New Hampshire. She is buried in Island Cemetery in Harrisville, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.^[7]
