John was born in 1822. He was the son of Walter Hussey de Burgh.

He was of Dromkeen House, and Kilfinnan Castle, co. Cork, J.P. co. Limerick

John married Louisa Townsend, daughter of Jonas M. Townsend, of Shepperton, co. Cork on 1 May 1844

2. Maurice b. 1848 ; married 1891, dau. of [Unknown] Smith, of Nenagh, widow of Major Whitty, and d. 1 May, 1890.
3. John b. 1850 ; d. 17 Aug. 1896 ; married Wilhelmina Hungerford

6. Jane Adeliza Clementina b. 1845 ; married (1), 29 Sept., 1864, Henry John Stephens Townshend, of Castle Townshend, co. Cork, who d. 7 Sept. 1869, (2) Arthur Cave, of Schull.
7. Louisa b. 1849 ; married John Hamilton Bryan, of Dunmanway.

He died in 1887.
