Biography
Joseph was born in 1741.[1]
He married Betty Brown on 12 December 1785 in Scituate.[2]
Probate
Joseph Northey of Scituate, yeoman died intestate and on 7 March 1796, his widow Betty and James Briggs, Jr., were granted the administration of his estate.[3]
His inventory was taken on 16 March 1796 in Scituate.[4]
In 1798, an account of his estate by his widow Bettey Northey and James Briggs Jr. was recorded which included debts collected, debts paid, the amount given to the guardian, funeral expenses, gravestones, provisions to the family, necessaries to the widow, and administration fees.[5]
In 1802, an account of his estate by John Turner was recorded which included cash received, cash to widow, debts paid, and administration fees.[6]
