Reinhold Werner was born 1897 in a German-speaking colonists settlement of Volhynian Germans Kolonie Dimitrowka, Luzk - Łuck, Wolhynien (Volyn).[1] (Volhynia - a historical region, in present-day Ukraine). He was the son of Eduard Werner and Julianna Büch.
The family left the area for Germany before the Soviet invasion of 1939.
He passed away in Oberdreis, Neuwied, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
