Biography

Sarah Cruttenden was born at Guilford, Connecticut Colony, on the second day of February, 1735, a daughter of Joseph Cruttenden/Crittenden and Lucy Cruttenden/Crittenden. Hannah married Joseph Bartlet, at Guilford, on the penultimate day of December, 1756.

Widowed in 1812, Sarah lived on for half a dozen years, dying at Guilford in mid-November of 1818. She and Joseph are buried in the town's Alder Brook Cemetery.
