Biography
HELEN B. (SWOPE) VIA, 98, of Gaithersburg, Md., formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at her home. Born July 14, 1915, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles V. and Nettie A. Swope.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adam Via; and a sister, Irene Romesburg.
A funeral service was conducted at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown; interment followed in Rest Haven Cemetery.
