Biography

William was born June1866 in Tennessee. He was the son of Benjamin Patton and Margaret Barker. In 1870 he was living with his parents and siblings in Weakley Tennessee where his father was a farmer. On 12/11/1888 he married Carrie L Dodd in Weakley Tennessee. In 1900 William and Carrie and their children were living in Santa Rosa, CA and he was working as a house carpenter. By 1910 the family had moved to Berkeley, CA where he lived and continued working as a carpenter until his death on 3/3/1931. He is buried with family members in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural EHC 33).
