Biography

Cora was born in 1858. She passed away in 1922.

Utica Herald-Dispatch, Wednesday March 8, 1922 Mrs. Cora A. Cady of 170 Hobart Street, wife of the late Harry Cady, died at a local hospital at 6 o'clock this morning. Five years ago while a resident of Syracuse, where she spent most of her life, Mrs. Cady suffered a stroke of paralysis. This left her an invalid and the effects caused her death.

Mrs. Cady was born at Trumansburg, May 15, 1858, and up to six months ago spent her entire life in Syracuse and vicinity. Her last address in that city was 117 East Brighton Avenue. Six months ago she came to Utica where she had since resided. She attended the Episcopal Church when health permitted. Mrs. Cady was a woman of excellent Christian character and her death is a loss to a loarge number of her friends. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Harriet A. Trowbridge of Syracuse, two sisters, Mrs. L. L. Richmond of Syracuse and Mrs. Luella Watrus of Niagara Falls; two sons, George T. of Syracuse and Herbert C. Cady, claim agent for the New York Railways of this city.

Utica Herald Dispatch - Friday March 10, 1922 The remains of the late Mrs. Cora A. Cady were taken to the former home in Syracuse this morning by Undertaker Williams, where funeral services were held this afternoon. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in that city. Among the many floral tributes was a standing wreath from the employes of the New York State Railways of this city.

Note: Cora is buried with her husband Harry per cemetery records, but her name is not marked on the stone.
